A new project aims to add even more heart to the communities of the Treasure Valley.
CBH Homes is gearing up for Hearts Across the Valley, a project that will install 30 large 5-foot by 5-foot heart-shaped sculptures in public areas across 13 cities. Local artists will decorate the fiberglass sculptures, which will start popping up this spring.
The idea was spawned by the Parade of Hearts in Kansas City. CBH Homes vice president Ronda Conger saw the project while on vacation with her family in the region, and started work on bringing a similar idea to SW Idaho.
“We are going to go through, you name it… every city… Boise, Nampa, Meridian, Caldwell, Middleton, Star, Kuna, Emmett, Horseshoe Bend, Jerome, Mountain Home. We want to do our own hearts across the Valley, and we need you,” Conger said.
CBH sought out “heart partners,” locations for the sculptures, and has already secured more the a dozen:
- Caldwell: Indian Creek Plaza, Caldwell Night Rodeo Grounds, Mallard Park
- Nampa: College of Western Idaho, Idaho Center
- Meridian: Scheels, Boys and Girls Club, CBH Homes
- Garden City: Expo Idaho (in Ada County), Telaya Wine Co.
- Boise: Push and Pour Boise Bench
- Others: Lowe Family Farmstead, Kuna; Hidden Paradise, Fairfield; Downtown, Jerome; Middleton
In addition, CBH says it has a number of other sites proposed, including more in Boise, Meridian, and Twin Falls.
